Did you know that inversion therapy has been used to relieve back pain as early as 400 BC when Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, strung up a patient on a ladder with ropes and pulleys and allowed gravity to do its work? The idea is that by letting gravity exert its effects on your spine, you can get rid of back pain, neck problems or any number of complaints.
Our 92 day juice feast ended on day 10. My fiance and I decided to start back to college and decided we would try to complete our 92 day juice feast later this year. We both felt great while on juice.

Day 4 of 92 day juice feast
Hi, this is Linzi and I am definitely feeling juicy on day 4. The last two days have been rough emotionally for both Don and I. We are quickly realizing how sedating cooked food is. We have all of this extra emotional energy that we really don't know what to do with. It has really helped us stop and examine every area of our life. The hardest part for me is shifting my energy away from food and into juice, but it is getting easier.
One insight we have had along the way deals with friends. Don asked me why it is that we have select friends. He said why aren't we just friends with everyone? He said there are people that live right next door to him that he has never spoken to. I told him I definitely feel more friendly on juice. I believe that cooked food is just like being sedated by a drug. When sedated, it is hard to look outside yourself and make new friends.
Our juice intake for today has been:
32 oz cranberry, orange, lime
32 oz celery, romaine, carrot, ginger, cucumber, barley grass juice powder
22 oz orange
(on the 2nd day we consumed 120 oz, on the 3rd day we had 96 oz)

Day 1 of 92 day juice feast
Well the magical day is here, we went 100% raw today 1/1/09 and began our 92 day juice feast. Its about 10pm at the moment and we are both feeling great. Luckily most of the fruit and veggies were on sale today so we stocked up. I completed a 21 day juice feast last May and it felt awesome. I was working as a mechanic the whole time and was never short of energy. I was never able to drink a whole gallon of juice then, I averaged about 80 ounces a day. Below I'm posting our intake for today:
1 quart water
24 oz of carrot, orange, romaine, apple juice with maca, barley juice powder and bee pollen
8 oz orange juice
16 oz of apple, cranberry
32 oz carrot, celery

First Blog: Sprouting
Well this is our first blog. After years of contemplation and hiding out from the law we decided to share our story with the world.
Guess i should introduce myself first, My name is Don and my better half Linzi will be blogging on here too.
Well i have been trying to go raw for about 10 years, I know what your thinking. I have been a vegetarian since about age 5, and grew up with all the torture other vegans/vegetarians go through at school, eating out, work etc. It all seems comical now but if you have gone veg you know what I'm talking about. Anyways, after several failed attempts to go 100% raw in recent years we are going all the way January 1st. This blog will cover our journey into the future as well as share valuable personal insight we have gained over the years. Hope it helps someone out there as much as the blogs and videos and websites of the raw food community have helped us.
